Kenya’s president Uhuru Kenyatta meets with South Korea’s president Park Geun-hye on Tuesday at State House in Nairobi.
Geun-hye was accorded full military honours where she inspected a guard of honour including a 21-gun salute from the Kenya Defence Forces that played the national anthems of both countries.
Later, the two heads of state together with their delegation held bilateral talks.

Geun-hye is the first South Korean president to tour Nairobi in over three decades. She started a tour of three African countries from Ethiopia to Uganda and now Kenya.
“As a country, we aspire to be such a people and we look at the Republic of South Korea as proof that with the right investment, anything is possible. The economic powerhouses of the future can come from anywhere in the world including Africa,” Kenyatta said in a Facebook post.

According to reports, the South Korean leader seeks to discuss business expansion and secure cooperation to tame North Korea’s nuclear ambitions.
The two states signed agreements on agreed sectors of cooperation.
Meanwhile, Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Nairobi on Wednesday for a three-day official visit.
Erdogan will meet with Kenyatta to discuss regional peace and security cooperation as well investment opportunities for both countries.
